So Ryan just turned 30, and I am not too far behind. I think naturally that milestone gets people thinking about getting ‘old.’ When I look into the mirror I feel like a see a more weathered version of who I really am. I haven’t even hit the big 3-0 yet and I’ve already invested in eye cream and wrinkle repair.
But when I look at this picture, there is nothing I love more than the wrinkles. Even more than the squishy cheeks of youth, I fall in love with the lines of joy around Grams’ eyes. I see each wrinkle as a lesson learned, a laugh with a friend, and even a cry or two. Today, looking at this photo, it makes me ok with the wrinkles.
