So I made this secret promise to myself that when we hit 500 likes on our facebook page, I’d say thank you to everyone by giving away something or running a contest. And we hit it today, and we are going to do both! So as a thank you to all of our ‘fans’ we are giving away a free Petite Session. All you have to do is be our FB page fan, and then tell us in the comments below what is your favorite cheesy love song.
But for all of you people that might not have a little one to bring to a Petite Session, here is something for you too! Tell us your worst Valentine story…a bad date, cheesy story, terrible present…and we are giving away a $25 gift card to one of our favorite restaurants for you to have a Valentines redo! If you are in OKC, you’ll get a card to The Mule, and Tavern on Brady if you are in Tulsa. And if you’re not in either…well…you get Chili’s or something. ;)
So there will be TWO winners from this bunch…one for a Petite Session and one for the winner of the sad story brownie (or really gift card…but I always say brownie. Does anyone remember that from Knotting Hill? Did anyone other than me actually watch that movie?). If you are entering for the Petite, start your message with AIRMAIL, and if you are telling me your story start it with BROWNIE.
For example, I will give you mine:
AIRMAIL: My favorite cheesy love song is Kiss from A Rose by Seal. It’s actually Time of My Life from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. For sure, don’t know how I forgot.
BROWNIE: The worst valentines gift I ever got was from a boy I was dating in High School. It was a giant white teddy bear holding a heart, of which he had sprayed his cologne on. But perhaps why that gift is is embarrassing is that boy ended up being a drug dealer. That is all. My parents don’t know that, but now they probably will.
Fine Print: To give everyone a chance, please only comment once, either for the Petite or Night Out. But we’d still love to hear your story even if you are submitting for the Petite. :) Contest ends at end of day Tuesday.

Fav cheesy love song: When a Man Loves a Woman :)
oops…forgot “airmail” on my first post. Airmail: fave cheesy love song is Best of my love by the Eagles
AIRMAIL: Everything I Do by Brian Adams
AIRMAIL: Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton
Hands down! :)
AIRMAIL: My favorite cheesy love song is “Luna” by the Smashing Pumpkins.

Airmail: Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship

AIRMAIL: The Luckiest by Ben Folds
“My Girl”– we walked out to this song at my wedding!
AIRMAIL: Two Less Lonely People In The World – Air Supply
AIRMAIL: When I Fall In Love by Nat King Cole!
AIRMAIL: “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin (not Jessica Simpson)! ;)
AIRMAIL: Next Time I Fall in Love by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant.
AIRMAIL: The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson
AIRMAIL: Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx
AIRMAIL: Email my heart By Britney Spears…
AIRMAIL: You Are The Best Thing – Ray LaMontagne
AIRMAIL: Don’t wanna miss a thing by Aerosmith. When you fall in love at summercamp then you are bound to have a cheesy song as “your song.” :) We then danced to it at our wedding.
AIRMAIL: I am loving “Dream a Little Dream of Me” -Mama Cass version :)
AIRMAIL: “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, lol!
BROWNIE: Worst Valentine’s Day Ever – The chap I was dating at the time took me to Whataburger for dinner, and ended up texting other girls for our entire date. And I ended up with a fever from a blossoming sinus infection.
You can obviously guess what happened next: We married that fall.
AIRMAIL: Favorite cheesy love song is “I will Always Love You” by Whitney (no last name necessary.) However, it is also my all-time favorite song so it pains me to call it cheesy. hahaha. ;)
BROWNIE: WORST VALENTINE’S EVER…When I was 15, I tried to surprise a boy I liked with a gift. I planned to go about it the mature way…”ding-dong ditch” style, duh. I lay out the bakery cake with his name on it & rang the doorbell. As I started running to the getaway car AKA my mom’s mini-van…who pulls into the driveway? He does, of course. With who? His new girlfriend. Then I had to awkwardly explain why I was there at 10:00pm at night while his gf who used to be one of my bff’s gave me the stink eye.
I went into hiding and changed my name after that…haha, just kidding. But it was awful!
AIRMAIL: My fave cheesy love song is “Wild Horses” sung by…some female artist. I can’t find who the actual singer is anywhere online, but it’s a live recording. If you’ve heard it, you know what I’m talking about.
Non-entry BROWNIE: My sophomore year of college I took my girlfriend out for Valentine’s dinner and the restaurant lost our reservation. Tried two other places, but no luck, & so we ended up at Chili’s. Once we got home, she called me to break up – said she wanted to do it the previous weekend but didn’t want to be alone again on Valentine’s. Then she sent her best friend to my dorm room to retrieve her DVD player I was borrowing. True story.
AIRMAIL: i was totally laughing because i guess lots of people have my same cheesy love song: Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. My husband and I are high school sweet hearts and we listened to this all the time together and it was “our song”. :) I’ve never won a giveaway before so crossing my fingers this is the one because I will drive to OK city in a heart beat for a session! :)
“Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John/the Lion King. We love Disney!!
AIRMAIL: I’m putting seconds on E-mail my heart by B. Spears. #toolateforthecontestby19minutes
AIRMAIL: Favorite cheesy love song has to be “I Got You Babe” Sonny and Cher :)
Brownie: Worst valentines date (really, only valentines date, which makes it that much more pathetic)… He was picking me up so we could go to some ridiculous scifi action movie (right?). As usual, I was ready to go when he got there, obviously in my most precious outfit and perfect hair and makeup… But as he walked in, he said “Oh, you’re not ready. I’ll just wait while you finish up.”
Well then. Guess I’ll just go get ready. Poor man never did live that one down.
The cheesy love song that I can’t help loving is “My Heart Will go On” from Titanic ….
AIRMAIL: My fav cheesy love song is “I Just Called to Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder. Hope I win! I’m dying for you to take a family photo of us!
